    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A former Virginia Beach police officer has been found not guilty of abduction and sexual assault after a three-day trial that centered on conflicting accounts of a 2023 incident following a car crash. Jurors delivered the not guilty verdict on Thursday, clearing Sean Fearon of the felony charges. Fearon was accused of detaining a woman in a parking lot and coercing her into sexual activity while on duty.

    CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake's Sheriff is one of the positions up for grabs in the upcoming election, as two law enforcement professionals with more than 20 years of experience face off for the job in the Republican primary. Incumbent Dave Rosado first became Chesapeake's Sheriff in 2024. Rosado succeeded former Sheriff Jim O'Sullivan when he retired. O'Sullivan promoted Rosado to Undersheriff in 2022. This year marks the first time Rosado's name will be on the ballot.

    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A former Virginia Beach police officer is on trial for the alleged abduction and sexual assault of one woman. The trial entered day two on Tuesday as the impacted woman took the stand for the first time. 13News Now is not identifying the woman, but she told jurors then-officer Sean Fearon refused to let her leave and intimidated her into having sexual relations after she got into a car crash.
