    To account for rising costs and meet federal requirements, Lewisville ISD will be increasing student and adult meal prices for the 2025-26 school year. Trustees unanimously approved the increase for meal prices for the upcoming school year at a May 12 meeting.     In an effort to attract businesses into the Furst Ranch mixed-use development, Flower Mound council members have approved a Chapter 380 Agreement with 1171 Commercial, a company affiliated with the developer, Jack Furst. The agreement, which allows town dollars from the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 2 fund to be awarded as grants to prospective businesses, was unanimously approved by Flower Mound Town Council with one condition at a May 14 special meeting.

    Development continues to progress on a potential indoor golf campus, Golf Everywhere, in Flower Mound. Council members unanimously approved a site plan with exceptions at the May 19 meeting, which will allow additional non-masonry siding and roofs outside of the town’s typically accepted ratio between 6:12 and 9:12. The roof pitch exceptions only apply to the proposed restaurant, wellness center and teaching building because they are under 15,000 square feet, respectively.

    A Kroger Marketplace store off SH 121 hosted a ribbon cutting to commemorate the grand reopening of the location May 14. The Kroger Marketplace in Lewisville is the second North Texas store to get an Asian Experience section. The Lewisville location reopened with refreshed decor, a new store layout and an expanded selection of Asian groceries, according to a news release.
