Delhi6 Indian Kitchen plans to move within Highland Village with the intent to open later this year, according to a news release. The restaurant will open in the same location formerly occupied by Lost Colony, which closed in May. Delhi6 Indian Kitchen currently operates within The Shops at Highland Village. The restaurant serves authentic Indian cuisine, including samosas, tikka masala, curries and paneer, according to its menu.

A new Flower Mound ordinance establishes requirements for children operating micromobility devices, such as scooters, and bicycles along with setting penalties for noncompliance. Council unanimously voted to adopt a new ordinance, which is set to take effect June 4, at its May 5 meeting. “There was discussion about ensuring that we give folks time to comply with this, specifically the safety equipment for riding at nighttime,” said JP Walton, Flower Mound’s chief strategic officer.
Flower Mound council approves parking for potential H-E-B

Grocer H-E-B could occupy 22.86 acres within the Furst Ranch mixed-use development after approval of an updated parking ratio. Flower Mound Town Council unanimously approved the parking ratio that would include 733 parking spaces for a 110,000-square-foot store at its May 5 meeting. “I just don’t think you can get here soon enough,” council member Ann Martin said.

Voters approved the creation of a municipal utility district for Furst Ranch along with infrastructure bonds, a tax rate and a board of directors, according to unofficial Denton County voting results. All results are unofficial until canvassed, but 100% of precincts have reported results in Denton County. Furst Ranch is a more than 1,000-acre mixed-use development that includes parts of Flower Mound, Argyle and Bartonville.
Incumbent Sheila Taylor wins re-election bid for Lewisville ISD trustee Place 7

Updated 11:25 p.m. May 3Incumbent Sheila Taylor won re-election against challenger Ryan Echols in the race for Place 7 on the Lewisville ISD board of trustees, with 100% of precincts in Denton Tarrant counties reporting. Taylor received 5,925 votes, 68.4%, while Echols garnered 2,737 votes, 31.6%. All results are unofficial until they are canvassed.
