Jackson Jobe had a career high in strikeouts (7) and whiffs (15) in a game in his brief MLB career. However, Jobe's control remained an issue, with a 39% ball rate on Monday against the Red Sox. That's not far from his career ball rate before Monday (38.3%). Jobe has been underwhelming with a 5.24 xERA and an 8.9% SwK before Monday. However, Jobe's slider elicited a 19.2% SwK, nearly nine percentage points above his season-long average (10.7% SwK).
