Students who live in mountain areas or regions where snow is common have gotten used to snow days. Days with many inches of snow building snowmen, sledding or hitting the slopes on any day where real snow is available. Since COVID-19 took over, the world of education has unfortunately transferred everything to Zoom. It has taught educators and employers that even on days where it is physically impossible to be in school or the office, people should still work.

Love is in the air this beautiful February season. When people hear February and love, our minds automatically go to Valentine’s Day and a partner to spend it with. Why? Valentine’s Day is a beautiful concept: 24 hours dedicated to someone you love. Although traditionally reserved for a romantic partner, the narrative should switch to a day of celebration for anyone and anything you love in your life. Most things learned throughout life about relationships and love are learned from friendships.

Let’s be honest. Breakups suck. They are not healing, not freeing, not fun and overall painful. While some people may be completely OK after a breakup and recognize it was the best option, they are still grieving the end of the relationship. They are grieving because of the past, not necessarily because they saw a future. Both sides of a breakup are human and OK. Going through a breakup is probably one of the most human experiences anyone can feel. You are mourning someone who is still alive.
