Susan B. Anthony is widely hailed as a major activist and figurehead for feminism due to her role in the fight for women’s suffrage. However, it is often overlooked that Anthony only encouraged women’s suffrage for white women, and did not approve of women of color receiving the right to vote. Anthony was not exactly quiet about her disapproval of suffrage for women of color, which makes it all the more shocking that it is rarely ever discussed that she felt such a way towards the topic.

Valentine’s Day is known for its cliche yet thoughtful gifts given to people by those who care for and love them. Teddy bears, roses, chocolate and anything else stereotypically categorized as “lovey dovey” are all staples of this holiday. However, the commercialization of Valentine’s Day almost seems to make the true meanings of love and appreciation become afterthoughts in favor of gift giving.

After a substantial donation to the athletics program from Tommy Sofield, a former App State football player from the class of 1976, attention has once again been turned towards the funding and focus the university  places on athletics. The donation is going towards a new indoor football practice facility, replacing the one built in 2007 already bearing Sofield’s name. But why is it that athletics, especially football, are always the most recognized and funded part of App State?

It has been a strange, recurring trend of the past several years to see people across various platforms openly and happily expressing their attraction to various serial killers including  Ted Bundy and Richard Ramirez. The fact that Bundy and Ramirez are murderers, however, is overlooked on account of their appeal to certain people.
