Organized Retail Theft detectives contacted the suspect, who police say has been identified as Shaghayegh Abedi, for theft from a store during an undercover operation.

The DOJ said Monico Erich Gastelo, 43, of Fresno, sexually exploited children, including creating a social media account in 2019 where he claimed to be an 18-year-old. City officials announced that they have partnered with the Sierra Vista Mall and the Clovis Fire Department to help residents during periods of extreme heat. Sierra Vista Mall will be open for residents needing to cool off on any day the National Weather Service predicts Clovis temperatures to be 105 degrees or greater.
