Bittersweet news from the best writer I know (and❤️) @BrentZwerneman's gift of storytelling and unmatched work ethic has resulted in sources, scoops and awards. But most importantly, lifelong relationships. He'll continue telling stories, but hopefully with more weekends at home:

Old friend Mike LaTour reminded me at an Oak Ridge High reunion I vowed in the 7th Grade I'd either be a pitcher for the Houston Astros or a sportswriter for the Houston Chronicle. Mission accomplished on one front -- still working on the other at age 53: https://t.co/a2aSK5pDnX

Best day of the year! https://t.co/jWu3c0CV72

Special delivery to @KBTXNews in time for the noon show, I can report the roads are indeed nasty in Bryan-College Station: @CrystalGalny https://t.co/4f0jMBOhK8
