FHS picks up first district win as regular season heads into homestretch FARMINGTON – Farmington High School picked up its first district win in a late inning thriller over crosstown rival Piedra Vista 3-1 Tuesday at Ricketts Park. Farmington entered Tuesday’s matchup leading Class 5A in runs scored with 193 but had surrendered the second most runs in District 1-5A at 41 runs, 28 more than Piedra Vista had given up.

Senior will join Greyhounds team looking to rebound with new head coach FARMINGTON – Farmington High School senior Jayla Yoder will extend her volleyball career to the collegiate game after signing her letter of intent to join Eastern New Mexico University. Yoder was joined by coaches, family, teammates and friends last week at a ceremony announcing her signing to the Greyhounds team.
