HUDSON – Before the sound of explosions echoed across the grounds of the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, a trio of World War II veterans told stories of landing at Normandy, crossing a river under enemy fire, and liberating a concentration camp from Nazi control. Audience member Jon Lewis took the microphone during a question and answer session and thanked the veterans before asking his question.

MEDFORD, MASS. (WHDH) - An MBTA bus and another vehicle were involved in a crash in Medford Thursday morning. The crash happened on Salem Street and Allen Court near 10 a.m. A 7NEWS camera soon spotted a stopped bus at the scene. A sedan was stopped nearby with significant front-end damage. (WHDH) - Investigators returned to the area around Heroult Road and I-190 in Worcester Thursday, one day after a shooting at a home and a series of attempted carjackings left two people dead and prompted an hourslong shutdown of I-190. The gunfire started near 2:20 p.m. on Heroult Road and ended roughly one hour later after police confronted a man with a gun on I-190. Worcester police said one man died of his injuries after being shot on Heroult Road.

SharePersonnel with multiple Massachusetts organizations were ready to work Friday after Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida overnight, bringing damaging wind and flooding rain to communities from the Gulf Coast to the Carolinas. Helene came ashore as a category four storm with maximum sustained winds of 140 miles-per-hour. As the hurricane rumbled north into Georgia, it triggered flooding and knocked out power to nearly 4 million energy customers , according to the Associated Press.
