CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Clovis home is making a masterful impression. The colors come alive in Lisa and Jonathan Halverstadt's backyard garden in Clovis. It started as a way to grow food but kept expanding. "We counted up, there were over 65 different varieties of edible plants on our property," said Jonathan. More than a hundred plants and trees grow in this garden that resembles a nursery. "We're growing four different types of tomatoes," Jonathan explained.

"One might think we just serve pancakes, but we really do have so many different varieties to offer," says owner Cristina Colla. Colla showed us her omelet. "I am a big fan of pesto, so it is pesto with avocado and then stuffed inside is spinach, mushrooms and bell peppers," she said. There's also Swiss cheese on top.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Many in the ag industry worry the Trump administration's tariffs could result in the loss of some overseas markets. Jeff Bitter of Allied Grape Growers says local winegrape producers don't share the same concerns as other farmers when it comes to the proposed tariffs. "For California growers, the tariff issue isn't as big a concern as in general production agriculture because most of the wine produced in California is actually shipped domestically," he said.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dervo's Deli and Grill across from the Save Mart Center in northeast Fresno is not your typical deli. "Sandwiches are kind of the bread and butter, but the burgers are growing in popularity, as are the fried chicken," says Owner Justin "Dervo" Dervishian. The Harris Ranch half-pound Angus beef patty serves as the base for an avocado bacon burger. It's blanketed by a Max's Bakery bun. "I'd put that up against any burger in town," Dervishian said.
