AbstractThe metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR, GRM) family is involved in multiple signaling pathways and regulates neurotransmitter release. However, the evolutionary history, distribution, and function of the mGluRs family in lampreys have not been determined. Therefore, we identified the mGluRs gene family in the genome of Lethenteron reissneri, which has been conserved throughout vertebrate evolution. We confirmed that Lr-GRM3, Lr-GRM5, and Lr-GRM7 encode three types of mGluRs in lamprey.

AbstractVitamin A, also known as retinol, is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays crucial role in various physiological functions In vivo. However, factors such as light, oxygen, and others may impact the stability of VA. To enhance its stability. This study microencapsulated VA, Gelatin, carboxymethyl cellulose, and salt were mixed in a ratio of 5:1:0.1 as the shell material. Additionally, 12% TG and 3.5% sucrose ester were added with core–shell ratio of 1:8.

The food additive titanium dioxide is commonly utilized to enhance the appearance and flavor of food products. However, this substance has been linked to gastrointestinal disorders. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of dietary exposure of titanium dioxide E171 on Listeria monocytogenes infection in mice. Mice were mainly divided to control, LM group (L. monocytogenes infection) and E171+LM group (E171 supplementation before L. monocytogenes infection).

AbstractPathogenic bacteria contaminations and related diseases in food industries is an urgent issue to solve. The present study aimed to explore natural food biopreservatives from microorganisms. Using dilution-plate method, a strain BBW1542 with antimicrobial activities against various foodborne pathogenic bacteria was isolated from the seabed silt of Beibu Gulf, which was identified as Bacillus subtilis by the morphological observation and 16S rDNA sequences. The antimicrobial substances of B.

Resveratrol (RES) is a secondary metabolite synthesized by plants in response to environmental stress and pathogen infection, which is of great significance for the industrial production of RES by fermentation culture. In this study, we aimed to explore the biosynthesis pathway of RES and its key enzymes in the Priestia megaterium PH3, which was isolated and screened from peanut fruit.
