"It's a great opportunity just to represent my heritage. All these other top kids in the country representing their heritage." Tapia stated. The mission is more than competition. Tapia continued saying, "Bringing the game to the island is one of the main goals.

WEST LAWN, Pa. - Wilson girls lacrosse, county champs and district finalists last year, host District One's Boyertown. In first quarter action Macy Adams looking for an option, finds Ryan Leaman who goes straight to the goal and scores in the bottom right corner. Wilson up 1-0 4 minutes in. Second quarter now, Wilson up 3-2, Leaman steals the ball and hustles to the net, she scores again with a minute left in the half. Bulldogs up 4-2 at halftime.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. Two of the expected stronger teams in the East Penn Conference met on the diamond as Bethlehem Catholic takes on Liberty high school at Sheridan Field. Bottom of the 3rd, Liberty gets 1. Then, Jake Matthews rips a two-out single to right, Kam Kensicki scores. 2-1 Canes. In the top of the 5th Mikey Mariano Jr. gets Bethlehem Catholic's Chris Tripp swinging. Mikey would have six K's on the day. In the bottom 5th, Liberty gets some insurance as Jake Matthews hits it back to the pitcher.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Phantoms opened a 5-game homestand Friday night against the Penguins. History on deck in this one for captain Garrett Wilson. The captain entered game number 277, tying Greg Carey for the most in a Lehigh Valley sweater. A little over a minute into the 1st, Pens can't clear against the boards, Adam Ginning gets it out to Anthony Richard who feeds Garrett Wilson and he beats Filip Larsson top shelf for his 10th of the season. This also makes his 400th career professional point.

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. - The Giant Center played host to the PIAA AAA boys and girl's quarterfinals. At the tournament there was a fair share of Lehigh Valley representation from the local high schools. For the boys at 107 lbs., Northampton's Brayden Wenrich taking on Sun Valley's Jacob Carr and Wenrich gets the takedown in the 3rd. He moves on with a 10-5 decision. At 127 lbs., Bethlehem Catholic's Keanu Dillard battling Cranberry's Dalton Werner.

EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men visit 2-seed American in the Patriot League quarterfinals. Strong opening half for the Leopards as Alex Chaikin had a game-high 29 points on 8 made 3's. Final minute of the 1st, Justin Vander Baan goes high off the glass. He finished with 15 points. Lafayette led 34-23 at halftime. But American got it going in the 2nd scoring 48 points. Geoff Sprouse gets the go-ahead 3 with 5.5 to go and the Eagles wouldn't look back. American rallies past Lafayette, 71-69.
