MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — The signs are up welcoming NASCAR fans to the Poconos for a jam-packed few days at the tricky triangle. Customers are already stopping by places like Harmony Beverage to stock up on drinks for the weekend. "We always come in, we come across I-80 and stop to get beer, and you know some food. And then we make our way to the infield," said Chris Cummings of Grampian.

MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — The RVs are rolling into Pocono Raceway near Long Pond for another weekend of NASCAR races. Judy Murech of Tunkhannock says this is the third year her family has camped out here. When Newswatch 16 stopped by, the family was putting the final touches on their site with an American flag. Murech says a lot of planning goes into the weekend.

DELAWARE WATER GAP, Pa. — It's a big honor for the Poconos, the Delaware River has been named Pennsylvania River of the Year. To celebrate, different organizations from across the county and surrounding areas gathered at Minisink Park near Delaware Water Gap for a RiverFest celebration. "The Delaware is just, well, it was selected river of the year for a reason. It is awesome with the variety and everything it offers," said Donna Ford, National Canoe Safety Patrol volunteer.

"I ended up staying here; I met amazing people, found an amazing life, activities, things to do, and an amazing culture as well," said Dixon.
