    ATLANTA — The next development phase at Pullman Yards in Kirkwood is expected to begin this August and last about one year. According to records reviewed by Decaturish, Pullman Yards owner Atomic Entertainment plans to construct a 360-space parking deck and about 40,000 square feet of convention space under phase two, which is a $15 million investment on top of the $45 million investment in phase one. The phase two work is expected to be finished by summer 2026.

    DeKalb County is asking for more time to upgrade its sewer infrastructure, but the costs for the delay could be steep. According to a summary of a Jan. 30 status conference in federal court, Judge Steven D. Grimberg told the county that extending the deadline for those upgrades to 2037 could result in $80 to $100 million in penalties. Staff working for the DeKalb County Commission prepared a memo summarizing the conference for county commissioners. Commissioner Ted Terry sent it to Decaturish.

    DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections will hold a meeting on Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. to gather feedback on proposed changes to polling locations. “The meeting will be held in person at the DeKalb [Voter Registration and Elections] office, located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, and will also be livestreamed via DCTV,” the announcement says.
