    As Wisconsin’s three state-run veterans nursing homes age, maintenance costs for the buildings are expected to hit at least $114 million in the next decade, according to a recent report from the state agency in charge of the homes. The report also found a competitive labor market and a declining number of residents leaves the homes with an increasing cost of care that cannot be fully covered by federal reimbursements.
