Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks will welcome more than a dozen official visitors to campus a week from today. VIPArkansas has an SEC-leading 14 verbal commitments and could be on the verge of another push to round out the 2026 class this summer. The Razorbacks will welcome more than a dozen official visitors to Fayetteville (Ark.) next Friday and before hosting three more big visit weekends later in June.

The SEC Baseball Tournament is underway in Hoover (Ala.), and we've got you covered with all of the week's results here on HawgSports. Kevin Bohanon will have Dave Van Horn's Arkansas Razorbacks covered when they hit the field Friday against today's winner of Ole Miss vs. Florida. Alabama got the tournament started with a 4-1 win over Missouri, which still has us scratching our heads after sweeping Texas A&M on the road two weekends ago.

Arkansas' 2026 recruiting class is back down to 14 verbal commitments after one came off the board late Tuesday evening. Rockwall (Texas) cornerback Jack Duckworth announced late Tuesday that he had re-opened his recruitment after being committed to the Razorbacks since November of 2024. Duckworth, a cousin of former Hog Bobby Duckworth, had been recruited to Fayetteville by former defensive backs coach Deron Wilson and re-recruited by Nick Perry, who replaced Wilson this past offseason.

Another one of Arkansas' Class of 2025 signees will not be suiting up for the Razorbacks, as wide receiver Jace Brown has been released from his scholarship agreement with the school. Christina Long was first to report the news, which may have been expected by Hog fans after last month's sudden departure of four-star quarterback signee Madden Iamaleava, who flipped from UCLA with Brown in December before transferring to the Bruins after a spring semester in Fayetteville.

If Friday night/Saturday morning's Arkansas-LSU baseball game felt similar to watching the Razorback football team play Texas A&M or Missouri, it's for good reason. There's definitely a close-but-no-cigar trend for the Hogs in Baton Rouge, where they've now lost nine of their last ten games that were decided by one run. The 5-4 final was a familiar one, too, as the Tigers and Razorbacks have now played seven 5-4 outcomes since 2016 (LSU owns a 4-3 edge in such games).

See a lot of Bear Bryant-Arkansas here, but Bear was just a line coach for Vandy at the time of his job offer in 1941. Joined the Navy after Pearl Harbor instead of coaching the home state Hogs. Bet X and the boards were 🔥 that day.
