The last of three Palm Beach houses owned by Jimmy Buffett when he died in 2023 has sold for a recorded $4.2 million on Root Trail, just down the block from the beach where the “Margaritaville” singer and avid surfer could sometimes be seen catching some waves. The buyer of the house at 135B Root Trail was a limited liability company named Found Me A Home LLC, which is managed by attorney Timothy J. Rooney Jr., records show.

A Palm Beach house that sold in late 2023 for $15.25 million just changed hands for $2 million less on the North End of town, according to the sale prices recorded with the deeds for both sales. That’s a rare downward pricing scenario in a wealthy town where many home sellers have gotten used to seeing home values appreciate, even in the short term. The four-bedroom house at 156 Seagate Road sold for $13.25 million, the deed recorded April 9 shows.
