A pregnant Doncaster teenager who threw missiles at police and stoked fires at a riot outside a hotel housing asylum seekers has been jailed along with her ex-partner. Elarna Garner-Abbey, 19, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court to 18 months in prison - just a week after finding out she was pregnant. She and her former partner Philip Wood, 22, attended the unrest at the Holiday Inn Express, in Manvers, Rotherham, on 4 August last year.

A police swoop has seen four Doncaster people arrested and charged with drug dealing offences. Tom Muscroft, 26, of Church Way, Wheatley, and Shawna Charnley, 27, of Eccleston Road, Kirk Sandall, appeared before Doncaster Magistrates' Court earlier this week. The pair were both charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, with Muscroft also charged with assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty.

A Doncaster drug dealer who was found to be in possession of a deadly converted firearm and heroin and cocaine after a road smash has been jailed for seven years. Brandon McMullen was involved in a collision on High Street, in Campsall, Doncaster on April 3, 2025 police said. Despite only holding a provisional licence, McMullen was observed by response officers riding a motorbike before crashing into an oncoming van.
