    A 21-year-old man who was already under release conditions has been arrested following a bizarre incident at the YMCA in downtown Sudbury. Police responded around 6:10 p.m. Tuesday to a report of indecent acts that took place at the Durham Street facility. “Information provided was that an individual was laying down in the shower, exposing himself and touching himself inappropriately in the public men’s change room while youth were present,” police said in a news release Wednesday.

    Two people have been arrested following an incident on Highway 69 south of Sudbury earlier this month. Ontario Provincial Police said they stopped a vehicle April 12 travelling 166 km/h in a 110 km/h zone. As a result, a 49-year-old from Britt was charged with stunt driving, their driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for two weeks. And police said a passenger in the vehicle was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant and was taken into custody.

    A 38-year-old man in northern Ontario apparently went stir-crazy Tuesday and fled house arrest, but was quickly caught because he was wearing an ankle bracelet. The incident took place around 12:50 p.m. at a residence on Alphonse Road in West Nipissing. “An individual with a court-ordered tracking device on their ankle fled on foot from a residence,” Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Tuesday.

    The Ministry of Natural Resources in Sault Ste. Marie/Blind River District said Tuesday a flood watch is in effect for the area until April 22. “Residents throughout the district, especially those located in the Goulais River watershed area, should keep a close watch on water conditions and stay away from fast-moving riversand streams," the MNR said in a news release.

    A 44-year-old from Red Deer, Alta., has been charged with impaired driving after police received a complaint about a vehicle “swerving all over the road” on Highway 17. The incident took place April 12 around 7:30 p.m. just east of Sault Ste. Marie near the community of Desbarats. “Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint of an eastbound white car with no licence plates that was swerving all over the road at inconsistent speeds,” police said in a news release Tuesday.
