Nvidia has finally announced the RTX 5060 release date, its latest RTX Blackwell graphics card and the most affordable to date. Theoretically. With a $299 starting price, and no Founders Edition card to help enforce that never-more-ephemeral MSRP, there's precious little to make one confident that will sticker price will be stuck to. Precious little save for the fact that you can still buy RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB cards for only $40 higher than MSRP today.

At least so far, anyways. Now, I did not expect Oblivion to be the game that brought my Nvidia RTX 5090 to its knees in 2025, but that's kinda what Oblivion Remastered has done. When I first checked over the system requirements my initial thoughts were 'oh, that's nice, it's not a resource hog that will devour every space CUDA core or compute unit you throw at it.' Sitting here now, with the RTX 5090 running at 99% load and barely scraping 60 fps in the open world outside of the Imperial City, I'm second guessing myself.
I've upgraded this 13-inch machine with pretty much every Framework mainboard over the years and the new AMD Ryzen AI version makes it the finest little laptop around

This is the best Framework 13 laptop the company has ever produced. The mighty new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 mainboard is obviously the main thing which has improved the overall experience, performance, and battery life of the wee upgradeable wonder, but I am also rather into the new keyboard and GameBoy Advance opaque monitor bezel, too. I've long loved the ethos behind the Framework 13. It's the ship of Theseus in laptop form.

There's no question that Origin can make a gaming PC. And even if this relatively simple all-Corsair build isn't as head-turning as some of the Origin systems I saw out at CES this year, this is still a beautifully built machine. It's also a system that comes with a price premium, as all Origin PCs do, but this one makes it a bit of a tough machine to recommend. I guess, for me and from afar, Origin PCs have always had this almost boutique system integrator feel.
Razer has pulled the pricing and pre-order pages for its new Blade laptops and I think it's pretty obvious what's happening here

There have been multiple reports going around about Razer pausing direct sales of its gaming laptops in the US and that kinda is/isn't exactly the case. We're in a Switch 2 situation here, people, where pre-orders for the new laptops are toast as all the Razer machines are currently out of stock in the territory and anything fresh coming in will be subject to the definitely-a-good-idea tariffs.
