Jocketty had been battling serious health issues recently. Cardinals ownership revealed that Jocketty, the team’s general manager from 1994-2007 was to be inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Fame later this season. That will still happen with Jocketty’s son accepting the honor for his late father.

It’s another scoreless tie for St. Louis City SC. They played to a 0-0 draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night at Energizer Park in downtown St. Louis. City SC actually scored a goal by marcel Hartel in the first half, only to have it nullified by an off side call. City SC goalie Ben Lundt, playing for the injured Roman Burki record his second shutout of the season. The tie did end the St. Louis City SC four game losing streak.
