TAMPA, Fla. — When it comes to the Super Bowl, there is the football on the field and the fashion off. “In the NFL, I feel like a lot of people have made it a very, very big deal,” Tampa clothing designer Jordan Lally said. At his Super Bowl party in New Orleans on Wednesday, former Eagles center Jason Kelce sported a Reese’s varsity jacket, custom-designed by Lally. Lally started Blank Slate Customs just two years ago. “It has really blown up,” she said.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — In a St. Petersburg house, there is a living room filled with play toys belonging to a precocious preschooler, named Apollo. The four-year-old African Grey parrot is a Guinness World Record holder. “He identified 12 things in three minutes, and that’s including snack breaks. Typically it’s four questions for a pistachio,” Apollo’s owner Dalton Mason said. From glass to paper to rocks, socks and a Shrek figurine, Apollo speaks perfect English.

Retired St. Petersburg astronaut Nicole Stott watched in awe and compared it to her own journeys among the stars. “The cameras are so much better than when I did mine,” Stott shared with a laugh.

TAMPA, Fla. — Amid the breathtaking beauty of Tampa Bay, there is a constant current of change for the Tampa Bay harbor pilots. In an ocean that can turn from peaceful to perilous, the pilots are required to have a calm voice and a steady hand. “You really do have to know how to work under pressure. You’ve got to be quick on your feet. You’ve got to be on point all the time,” pilot Tevin Freeman said.
