    District V Councilmember Ruben Gutierrez has requested a feasibility study on implementing a four-day workweek for city of Laredo employees, which city management will review. Gutierrez said the change could benefit 8-to-5 employees across the city, as well as city staff, by reducing the need to rearrange schedules, miss work hours to handle personal tasks such as paying bills or take unnecessary sick days simply to rest.
