LFD: Grass fire that caused Laredo College evacuation has been contained

A grass fire near the Laredo College Ft. McIntosh Campus has been contained, the Laredo Fire Department announced early Tuesday morning. A call regarding the fire first came in at around 8:04 p.m. The LFD said that the fire was contained at around 1 a.m.Article continues below this adInitial damage reports are pending daylight for an official estimate. The fire prompted an immediate evacuation of the campus on Monday evening, according to college officials.
