A bill that would limit the use of noncompete and exclusivity agreements by Connecticut employers was inadvertently held up in committee on Tuesday. House Bill 7196, which was originally raised by the Labor and Public Employees Committee, would apply to any noncompete or exclusivity agreements entered into or amended on or after July 1, 2025.

Yale University Properties said Tuesday that Shah’s Halal Food at The Shops at Yale will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday at 10 a.m. The restaurant is located at 286 York St.Established in Queens, New York, in 2005 with a single food cart serving family recipes, Shah’s Halal has grown to more than 90 restaurant locations.

As Hartford HealthCare continues efforts to expand its 65-acre flagship hospital campus in the city, it has filed a request with state hospital regulators to temporarily relocate its medical oncology and infusion services. Hartford Hospital filed a request on May 15 seeking a certificate of need (CON) determination from the state Office of Health Strategy (OHS) to move its medical oncology and infusion services from 85 Retreat Ave., to 85 Jefferson St., in Hartford.
