Two women were killed Thursday morning when their SUV was struck by a freight train at a railroad crossing outside Pittsburgh. The incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. in Rockwood Borough, a small town in western Pennsylvania’s Somerset County. A South Florida man has been convicted of fraud after posing as a flight attendant to scam free flights from at least four different airlines over a period of six years. Tiron Alexander, 35, was convicted on June 5 of multiple counts of wire fraud and entering the secure area of an airport under false pretenses, the Justice Department announced this week.

At least four people have been killed and others are still missing following torrential rain and flash flooding Thursday morning in San Antonio. The San Antonio Fire Department said it received calls around 5 a.m. when more than a dozen vehicles were swept away in the rushing water after over seven inches of rain came down in about five hours. San Antonio Fire Chief Valerie Frausto said people were clinging to trees and stranded on an island that formed in the flooding.

A fishing boat that was reported missing earlier this week was found Wednesday sunk off the coast of Cape Cod and two bodies have been recovered, according to reports. The U.S. Coast Guard began searching for the vessel F/V Seahorse on Tuesday after it was reported overdue. The 30-foot boat was last known to be fishing in Cape Cod Bay, and a cellphone ping showed the boat 2 miles offshore. The Coast Guard said Shawn Arsenault, the 64-year-old captain, was known to be remodeling the ship.
