TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - You’ll find daylilies in full bloom inside Topeka’s Fairlawn Plaza Mall this weekend. The Topeka Daylily club is hosting its annual show Saturday June 21, 1pm-4pm. Mary Zeller and Jeff King stopped by Eye on Northeast Kansas to give us a preview of the show. Attendees will be able to view flowers and photos and vote for your favorites. TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A recent Washburn Rural graduate is the recipient of a special scholarship from one of the largest community-based women’s organizations in North America. Aditi Nimishakavi was awarded the P.E.O. Sisterhood ‘Star Scholarship’ of $2500. This philanthropic organizations has nearly a 250,000 members. Its scholarship recognizes the accomplishments of graduating high school young women planning to pursue a post-secondary education.
