State and local police are investigating the death of a man found in the woods off a walking trail over the weekend in the Burrage Pond Wildlife Management Area that is partly in each Hanson and Halifax. Halifax police received a call reporting an unresponsive man on the state-owned property at 9:16 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, the department said in a statement posted to its Facebook page Sunday afternoon. The man was already dead by the time emergency and medical personnel found him.
