A Perth man who abducted a nine-year-old girl as she walked to school by luring her into his car with a plea to help him find a lost puppy has been sentenced to more than 11 years' jail. Ryan Ashley Darken admitted enticing the girl into his ute in Perth's southern suburbs in July last year after telling the primary school pupil he was the father of a friend. He put cable ties on her wrists and duct tape on her eyes and mouth so she couldn't see or scream, the District Court in Perth heard.
