Born and raised in Decatur, Ray has dedicated her life to creating change in her community. "It came from me eavesdropping in on a conversation my grandmother was having with someone," Ray said. "She was talking about if you don't have a certain income status and or a certain ethnicity you don't get the same quality of healthcare as everyone.

Her journey with animals began in her childhood, growing up in the country where her family often took in animals that were abandoned. "I grew up in the country with my parents," Corbin said.
