Seven students considered startup stars had something good happen that will take them from North Texas to New York City. The teenagers from Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Irving were winners in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) South Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. A panel of judges listened to ideas for five businesses, from aerial cinematography to baking to protecting kids to tiny homes.

The City of Fort Worth recently recognized Apraxia Awareness Day, the condition that keeps her son from speaking. Fort Worth City Hall did something good for a mom advocating for her son and others who share his disorder. The city declared May 14th Apraxia Awareness Day. Kendra Frank's little boy Elliott has CAS - Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Autism. Apraxia is a neurological speech disorder in which a person knows what to say, but the brain and mouth don't work together.

Tennis is considered the world's healthiest sport, and something good happened on the tennis courts in Coppell. Players competed in the 45th Texas Open Wheelchair Championships earlier this month. The Dallas Wheelchair Tennis Club (DWTC) hosted the event at the Wagon Wheel Tennis and Pickleball Center in Coppell. The championship tournament was started in 1981 and is the oldest, continuously held tournament in the history of wheelchair tennis.
