    An Azle man is missing after going night fishing on Eagle Mountain Lake. Ruben Fausone was last seen Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning June 10 and 11 at Twin Points Park. His boat has since been found on the opposite side of the lake without him in it. In a Sunday morning press release, the Tarrant Regional Water District reported that a body was found around 7 p.m. Saturday night. The statement suggests that the body is likely Fausone.

    A Fort Worth Vietnam Veterans Memorial is one year closer to fruition and Azle’s Silver Dollar Classics Car Club has helped play a major role. Each year the club puts on a car show fundraiser at Eagle Mountain Marina for Vietnam Veterans Day in March. Money was raised through registration fees, sponsorships and drawings. The biggest donors to the event were the insurance company Better Life, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Eagle Mountain Marina.

In May, he joined the council on the other side of the podium. Both the current and former mayors of Azle have said the makeup of the city council is the best it has been in decades. An uncontested race earlier this spring saw Berry seated in Place 4 of the city’s chief governing body as its first new face in four years.

    A local rendition of “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” lived up to the show’s name before concluding its run at the Popcorn Players Theater last weekend. Along with outrageously funny and offthe- wall characters, the show provided plenty of interesting perspectives on show business in the 1950s with an engaging and ultimately heartfelt plotline. May’s performances showcased many new firsts for the Azle Arts Association.
