In her decision, United States District Judge Melissa R. Dubose states that Speaker of the House Ryan Fecteau and Clerk of the House Robert Hunt have legislative immunity, meaning they are absolutely immune from being sued for their legislative acts.

House minority leader Representative Billy Bob Faulkingham says L.D. 958, an act to prohibit eminent domain on tribal lands, empowers tribes to have a voice in decisions that impact their land.
