A fatal accident occurred Friday morning on the I-85 South ramp in Gastonia. A Honda Accord failed to yield while turning left, resulting in a collision with an Infinity. A passenger in the Honda was killed, while both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of a black two-door Honda Accord failed to yield to oncoming traffic Friday morning as he was making the left onto the I-85 South ramp from Bessemer City Road, according to Gastonia Police.
