Hi! How was your weekend? Mine was really nice. I went to a cozy dinner with my friend Jen, hosted by the beloved denim brand Still Here at Gem, where there was a very memorable cake. We got lucky with our seating arrangement, perched in a little end-table pocket with some great girls, including the stylist Jessi Frederick, who was wearing a Still Here denim shirt I am still thinking about, so I must need it, right?

I think it’s safe to say I’m a semi-professional shopper at this point. It’s probably my favorite “non-hobby hobby”—whether it’s between meetings or a quick scroll before bed, I’m always online, saving things to Pinterest or making lists of all the pieces I fall in love with. I genuinely enjoy surrounding myself with beautiful things, and I believe we all deserve a little more beauty in our lives. That said, I’ll admit that the gift-giving gene skipped me.

We’re officially in the quiet part of summer. These last couple weeks of August tend to feel ominous for the online population; I imagine it as if a virtual tumbleweed were rolling through our feeds. I know this time is meant for relaxation and “logging off,” and that resting would probably be in my best interest. It’s just not going to happen.
