Shivambu’s visit to Bushiri in Malawi got people talking that he visited a fugitive who is wanted in South Africa to answer to allegations leveled against him. Bushiri was arrested in South Africa but skipped the country and his wife after they were granted bail.

Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi says six new academic hospitals will be built in the country to alleviate challenges experienced in the healthcare sector. Speaking to the SABC on the margins of the G20 side event on Health, Motsoaledi spoke on the halting of funding by the US government. International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola has dismissed reports that South Africa knew ahead of the October 7th 2023 Hamas attacks on Israeli citizens and foreign nationals.
