    What started as a verbal argument on Wednesday evening in Downtown Bangor turned violent, authorities say, when one person shot another with a firearm. According to Det. Lieutenant Brent Beaulieu of Bangor Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, the incident took place around 9:30 PM in the area of 190 Harlow Street, near a local night club, the Public Library, and some residential apartments.

    Authorities are reminding folks who drive to make sure they stay distraction-free after a triple crash occurred, just before rush hour, on the interstate near Pittsfield. According to the Department of Public Safety, State Troopers were called to Pittsfield in an area along the northbound lane of Interstate 95, just after 4 PM.

    A tractor-trailer crash in Falmouth caused delays to afternoon traffic Friday. According to the Maine State Police, troopers arrived on the scene just before 2 p.m. of a large truck that had rolled over on I-495 in the westbound lane, right where traffic usually merges on the Exit 11 off-ramp of I-295. "The preliminary investigation showed that the driver, Mohammed Mohammed Abdallah, 25, of Nebraska, lost control of the truck as he exited exit 11 on I-295 merging onto the spur.
