Maine gets its fair share of celebrities who visit the state. "Stranger Things" and "Thunderbolts*" actor David Harbour was spotted at A1 Diner in Gardiner, Maine, in 2023, and Massachusetts native Matt Damon was at a Kittery smoothie shop in 2024. According to the U.S. Census, over 35% of Maine residents hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. That’s good enough to rank 18th in the country and places the state above the national average. Clearly, Maine values higher education.

So many things I wanted, and failed, to do this week. But vacation has been quiet and relaxing, with husband and dog, that I can't complain. #lifeisgood https://t.co/Zzfnu3AuO6
