FARGO — North Dakota State’s first trip to the state of South Carolina this fall is guaranteed to be a warm one with an early kickoff. The Bison are scheduled to open the 2025 football season at The Citadel on Aug. 30 in Charleston, S.C. The Bulldogs announced Thursday the kickoff time with NDSU will be an 11 a.m. central time start. The Citadel plays its home games inside Johnson Hagood Stadium, which seats just over 11,000 people. The field surface is a brand of Field Turf called Spor Tuf.

FARGO – North Dakota State’s football roster this spring featured two players that should be wrapping up their time in high school. But the pull of college and wanting to get a jump start on things was too great. Quarterback Zander Smith and running back Myles Mitchell arrived in Fargo in January after graduating early from their respective high schools. They enrolled at NDSU to begin their college careers and didn’t think twice about leaving early.

FARGO — The football world is all about who you know, and in a world where a portal connects all college programs, it doesn’t take long for word to spread to find a player. That was the case with North Dakota State’s most recent portal addition in Chance Symons, a 6-foot-3, 254-pound defensive end. Symons announced on Sunday, April 27 that he will be transferring to NDSU from Arizona State. Symons will have three years of eligibility remaining. Symons hails from Mitchell, Neb.

FARGO – After a weekend where North Dakota State football had multiple NFL Draft picks for the fourth time in the last five years, the Bison remained red hot in adding players to the current and future rosters. NDSU added some needed depth in its running back room as Kennesaw State transfer DJ Scott announced Sunday, April 27 that he will transfer to the Bison. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound sophomore from Oviedo, Fla. will have three years of eligibility remaining.

FARGO — Cam Miller’s unlikely road that took him Solon, Iowa to North Dakota State starting quarterback has now brought him to the NFL. The two-time national champion for the Bison was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the sixth round Saturday on the final day of the 2025 NFL Draft. Miller was selected with the 215th overall pick, the next-to-last pick of the round.
