MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A woman who was kayaking on the Potomac River died when she got trapped under a rock Sunday afternoon, officials said. Two dozen people from an out-of-state college were kayaking near the Montgomery County/D.C. line when the woman, a member of their group, was pinned under a rock in hydraulics, according to Pete Piringer, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson. MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A 22-year-old Rockville man has been sentenced to a total of 19 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter in the fentanyl death of Kevin Ourand,20, of Rockville. Ourand’s mother found her son dead in her basement on October 12, 2022. A medical examiner found the cause of death to have been fentanyl intoxication. Teymour Peters pleaded guilty on June 15, to involuntary manslaughter in Ourand’s death.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A naked man, reported to be acting erratically, forced his way into a home in Springfield shortly after midnight Wednesday and later died at a hospital. Fairfax County police responded to the 5700 block of Ash Drive at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday after a homeowner reported the man appeared to be “under the influence” when he broke in.
