    Spain’s leading defence systems manufacturer, Indra, is considering the acquisition of a stake in renowned satellite operator Hispasat. This move aims to bolster Indra’s presence in the satellite industry and further expand its influence in the European military sector. According to sources familiar with the matter, Indra intends to purchase the stake currently owned by Hispasat’s shareholder Redeia, which is partially state-controlled.

    Ibadan, 28 December 2023 – OHB System AG achieved a successful launch, propelling two reflector satellites of the SARah reconnaissance system into orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket soared from Launchpad SLC-4E at 14:11 CET, flawlessly delivering the satellites to space following a speedy 25-minute flight. Soon after, operators received signals from the newly deployed satellites, initiating the critical Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP).
