QUINCY – The regular season is winding down and Quincy High softball has picked up a couple of late season wins, riding a three-game win streak into a big time Western Big 6 Conference matchup against Rock Island on Tuesday at home. Rock Island is the current No. 1 team in the conference and the Blue Devils are currently the No. 7 team, but outside of a tough second inning QHS went toe to toe with the Rocks in a 14-7 loss.

QUINCY -- Quincy Blue Devils baseball has raised their level of play this month winning four of their last five games into their matchup against the No. 3 team in the Western Big 6 Conference, the Alleman Pioneers. The Blue Devils had one their best games all season with the bat, out-hitting Alleman 22 to 4, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the second and fourth innings and leading to a 17-2 win, improving to 5-8 in the WB6.

HANNIBAL -- It was senior night and also an opportunity for Hannibal girls soccer to continue their dominance in the North Central Missouri Conference, hosting the Marshall Owls. The Lady Pirates were great once again looking very much in postseason form with a 9-1 win over the Owls, scoring six of those nine goals in the first half. “We built a pretty comfortable lead early on in the first half,” said Hannibal head coach Eric Hill.

QUINCY -- Quincy Notre Dame girls soccer have had a few tough last few games, dropping three of their last four looking for a reset win on senior night hosting the Jacksonville Crimsons on Wednesday. The Lady Raiders had to battle with the Crimsons in the first half nursing just a 2-0 lead at halftime before turning up a notch with four goals in the second half winning 6-0.

QUINCY -- Quincy Notre Dame softball is its usual self, approaching the postseason playing great at the right time winning four straight headed into senior night on Tuesday against Augusta Southeastern. The Lady Raiders put together another vintage QND performance, defeating the Suns 16-1 in four innings at the Backyard. The Lady Raiders celebrated their senior class before and after their fifth win in a row. QND senior pitcher Caitlin Bunte on staying focused on the win.

QUINCY -- Two teams moving in opposite directions battled Friday night with Quincy Notre Dame baseball hosting Camp Point Central, as the Raiders were looking for their fifth win in a row. Camp Point senior Garrett Neisen singled home senior Nate Peters in the top of the first, but a two-run home run in the bottom of the second from QND senior Abram Wiewel that scored freshman Eli Johnson got the Raiders going in route to a 13-6 win in seven innings.
Hannibal runs into Hickman roadblock in senior night loss

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Winners of five of their last seven games, Hannibal baseball has battled and shown a lot of resilience as they looked to keep their high level of play going facing the Hickman Kewpies. Hickman has had Hannibal’s number over the years and unfortunately for the Pirates they had a hard time keeping pace, losing 8-4 on senior night. Hickman is 5-0 against Hannibal in their last five matchups. “It was a good baseball game, well played, it was clean," said Hannibal head coach Ian Hatton.
