A Cheyenne coffee business which has been operating out of a trailer will be .moving into a brick and mortar location next week, according to the business Facebook page. Barrett Creek Coffee says it will be holding a Grand Opening in the Cheyenne Depot Plaza on May 17. You can see the Barrett Creek Coffee Facebook page here. The business has been operating out of a trailer since its start in 2022. In a video posted on the page, owner Miriam Miller says "The trailer was never an end goal.

Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis is among a bipartisan group of Senators and Representatives who have sponsored a bill to stop the production of pennies. This isn't the first time a Senator from Wyoming has tried to put an end to penny production. In 2017 then-Senator Mike Enzi introduced the COINS Act, with the same goal in mind.

Two leading members of the Laramie Police Department are retiring from that agency after more than 20 years of service with the Department. That's according to a post on the Laramie Police Department Facebook Page. According to the post, Assistant Chief Robert Terry is retiring after 23 years with the department. According to the post: Since joining in 2002, he has served as a Field Training Officer, SRT member, DRE instructor, and DCI Task Force Officer.

The Laramie County School District#1 Board of Trustees has released a draft policy response to the Wyoming Gun Free Zones repeal passed by the legislature earlier this year. That law allows people with concealed carry permits to carry guns on school grounds in Wyoming. For most other areas covered by the law a concealed carry permit is not required to carry a gun. But due to federal law the state has to require the permits on school property.

A new members-only speakeasy known as the "Ghostbar" has opened in the Lincoln Theater in Cheyenne. For those who may have slept through history class, the term ''speakeasy" rose to prominence during prohibition to mean an illicit establishment serving liquor. The term came about because patrons and bartenders kept a low profile and tried to avoid attracting too much attention to what was, after all, an illegal enterprise at the time.
