Skies turn mostly cloudy overnight as low-pressure approaches from the west. Southerly winds around 10 to 15 mph will keep conditions mild, with lows holding near 56. A good night to leave the windows cracked open—if you’re not too sensitive to the breeze. A cold front sweeps through during the afternoon, bringing a chance of scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm between late morning and early afternoon. A dangerous line of storms will move into central Indiana between 6 PM and midnight, bringing the risk for widespread damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes. The environment is primed for intense thunderstorms, with strong wind shear and moisture combining to support severe activity. While a broken line is most likely, a few discrete storms ahead of the line could become supercells capable of producing tornadoes.
