Two Fairfax County police officers were shot while conducting a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon in Northern Virginia, law enforcement officials confirmed. The officers' injuries are not life-threatening, police said. They've been taken to a hospital. A suspect is in custody, police said.

At a rally outside the Office of Personnel Management Tuesday, Qua Crowner said she was laid off for participating in a diversity, equity and inclusion training course she was instructed to take under the previous administration. The Fed made a presentation to a special subcommittee that was created to address any economic fallout from federal layoffs and spending cuts. Since January, more than 120,000 federal workers have been fired as part of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk's plan to downsize the federal workforce.
