Boston Celtics players said Friday that they were able to spend time with teammate Jayson Tatum after he underwent surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon that he suffered during Game 4 of the playoff series against the Knicks. Sam Hauser said Tatum came to the team's hotel on Thursday. "He wouldn't want anything more than us to just keep winning," said Hauser. "We saw him yesterday, he seems to be in good spirits." Payton Pritchard agreed that Tatum appeared to have a positive outlook.

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum's surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon was completed Tuesday in New York City by a surgeon who has treated numerous other athletes and celebrities, sources confirmed to SportsCenter 5. Dr. Martin O'Malley, of the Hospital for Special Surgery, specializes in sports medicine of the foot and ankle. Sources said he led the surgery for the 27-year-old forward after he suffered the painful injury in the final minutes of Monday's loss to the New York Knicks.
