More than 20 caravans forced their way onto land at Jenny’s Wood in Wyberton on Monday (April 14), before being moved on two days later. However, the Boston Woods Trust says it has been left with a ‘large unexpected bill’ for the site, which is a popular site for the public. Damage was caused to the entrance while some trees were cut down.

The Royal Air Force wants to place two targets at a bombing range. An application to site barges at RAF Holbeach has been made to South Holland District Council. “The new target will be formed of two barges, each are -56.3 meters in length and -11.3 meters in width and 5-8 meters in height,” the outline method statement prepared by agent Marmus on behalf of Holbeach Air Weapons Range said.

Motorists are being warned of a ‘significant impact’ on traffic this morning. A water main has burst at South Parade in Grantham, causing the closure of Albert Street up to Springfield Road. Police say diversions are in place. A Lincolnshire Police statement said: “We are currently at the scene of a burst water main at South Parade in Grantham. “Closures are in place at the junction of Albert Street up to the crossroads at Springfield Road.
