A murder was one of 450-plus police prosecutions which collapsed due to lost, damaged or missing evidence in the county, it can be revealed. Statistics made public today show that 2.44% of defendants passed on to the Crown Prosecution Service by Lincolnshire Police between October 2022 and September 2024 failed to be served justice for these reasons - the fifth highest proportion across the nation’s forces. As well as a murder, there was also one sex offence case that collapsed.

Published: 17:08, 05 June 2025 A town store will not be allowed to hire a man with ‘significant links to criminal behaviour’. The Deli Super Market in Spalding’s Sheep Market had lodged an appeal for Haiman Fatah Mohamad to work at the premises. Mr Mohamad was jailed for 16 months in February 2023 after a Lincolnshire Trading Standards raid uncovered 100,000 illegal cigarettes.
