Students are encouraged to focus on getting the answer right rather than explore how critical thinking and problem-solving evolve. Grades are based on the number of correct vs. incorrect answers.

    Ed Kim·Follow4 min read·--I was overjoyed when we found out we were expecting our second child. Our first child and the process felt like it went so smooth. I had no idea what I didn’t know and that was totally ok. I just went with it and trusted the people who were around me. Ernie was born in 2022 amidst a lot of craziness and chaos but all was well. He was born with a serious expression (you know if you’ve seen pictures of him) and he was and is still healthy.

    Instead of: What will they think of me? Root self in: Why am I showing up? Instead of: What will the outcome be? Root self in: What values am I embodying? My partner saw me really struggling and she wrote this down and gave it to me. It really helped me see how much I had lost my own compass and identity. I had given it over to my “bosses” and if my boss and stakeholders weren’t happy I not only didn’t feel good about my work but I was a failure as a person.

Findings  This cross-sectional study of 19 289 patients with a new diagnosis of angiosarcoma found that the incidence of angiosarcoma is increasing among men and women in the US, with more than 1000 new cases diagnosed per year. This overall increase is associated with a higher incidence rate of secondary breast and chest wall angiosarcomas among women.
