Frustration continues to grow for a longtime family-owned business in the San Fernando Valley, citing that the City of Los Angeles has done nothing about a homeless encampment in the area. The encampment has caught fire multiple times in less than a month, causing damage to the Reseda shop. Shocking security video appears to show the unsheltered residents intentionally setting the fires and torching the area near their encampments.

After the owner of Langer's Deli expressed wanting to close down the legendary restaurant due to safety concerns around MacArthur Park in Los Angeles' Westlake District, owner Norm Langer met with LA Mayor Karen Bass. Upset about the deportation of local inmates, immigration leaders delivered a letter to Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes asking him to cut ties with ICE. On Wednesday, over 100 immigrant leaders and advocates from across the state marched to the sheriff's department to personally deliver the letter to Sheriff Barnes. According to a report by the Harbor Institute, there was a 1200% increase in the OCSD's transfers of individuals to ICE custody for increased detention and deportation.
