We're not sure how this seems to keep happening, but we've made it to the end of another week in 2025 and now that May has arrived, you would think that the April showers will not continue. However, the recent weather forecasts show that the rain will continue through the weekend in Western New York. But, no matter how much rain falls, we're not going to let a little wetness stop us from enjoying a few days away from work.

Thursday, April 24th, to Saturday, April 26th, was pretty good for New York's only NFL team. The Buffalo Bills, who had nine picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, came out with a plan and executed several moves that should go a long way in helping to shore up a defense that has lost several players to free agency.

With the arrival of spring in Western New York, the State's second-largest city has begun the process of figuring out its finances for the year. While most of us start our year on January 1st, the City of Buffalo begins its year on July 1st. As the calendar inches towards the end of March and the start of April, the city's Executive Branch, also known as the office of the Mayor, issues an initial budget proposal that the Common Council then debates and finalizes.

President Trump's pick to lead NASA has an incredible background, and a very cool Montana connection. Jared Isaacman, featured in the photo above, was selected by President Trump to serve as Administrator of NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Most recently he served as the mission commander for the SpaceX Polaris Dawn crew that conducted the first ever commercial space walk. It looks his confirmation hearing in the US Senate takes place next week.
